While our
childhood experiences play a big part in shaping who we are today, I strongly
believe that each of us has the capacity to bring about transformation in our
life.
My aim is to facilitate a process where you can identify your needs and live a fuller and more authentic life. Ultimately, I would like to support you in finding and putting in practice the changes and solutions that best work for you.
As integrative therapist I draw on different approaches including psychodynamic, person-centred and Gestalt.
I work creatively. In order to better meet your needs and support your self-expression, when relevant I incorporate the use of images and symbols, dreams and art. Sometimes our imagination and intuition can give us valuable cues about ourselves, our emotions and needs.
My approach is relational which means that I believe that how you and I relate during the sessions can give us important insight into all relationships in your life, including how you see yourself. Relational work also means that I don’t see us as a ‘patient’ and an ‘expert’ but as two human beings working together towards a common goal. I believe the quality of the authentic relationship we establish is at the core of the healing and transformative process.
Each journey of exploration and change is different and unique. I will be guided by what you bring to the sessions and we will work following your pace. At the same time, I will keep your aspirations and our goals for therapy in mind and might bring us back to them if necessary.
I have faced my own challenges in life and I have experienced the power of therapy delivered with genuine care and compassion.
This has shaped me and the way I work.
